What will happen if you don’t notify us?

If you’ve received a new or updated environmental permit since 1 April 2023, you’re required to tell us at least 48 hours before you plan to dispose of waste sheep dip to land. It is a condition of your permit and breaching those conditions may result in further action.

If your permit was issued before 1 April 2023, we request that you voluntarily notify us before disposal takes place.

Over time we will be introducing this new permit condition to all existing permits meaning all environmental permit holders in Wales will be legally required to tell us before disposing of their waste dip to land.
